After being a small time general contractor in Oregon doing residential remodels, I’m happy to downsize to just a handyman one man show here in SD. Doing primarily small jobs, mainly carpentry and cabinet repairs or modifications, and general handyman stuff, to minor electrical and plumbing. I prefer to start jobs at 10am and depending on how physical the job, am often ready to call it a day around 3, but can alter all this as needed. I always send customers a text of my ETA when I’m on the way – I hate the thought of someone waiting for me unknowing for even a few minutes.
Besides residential remodels and improvements, my previous experience includes running crew for hotel remodels for ADA compliance, running/working a small cabinet shop, and cabinetmaker in a big trade show shop.
In my non-working hours I enjoy a morning swim, over-the-board chess (still learning tactics) and billiards (moderate league player), and computer games (real-time strategy, shooters, puzzles, recently oculus). Prior to living here in Escondido since 2005, was 15 years in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, then 10 working Capitol Hill, Wash, DC, 4 in North Carolina fathering two great sons, and growing up largely in West Virginia.
